Every company wants to develop, for this purpose the market is analyzed, technologies are implemented and advertising is purchased. But some managers miss the main thing in their work: the key asset of the organization has long been not equipment and services, but employees. How to find out that the team is loyal to the company and satisfied with the conditions - we tell you about the eNPS engagement research method.

The eNPS index is an indicator of employee loyalty to the organization, which can be used to determine satisfaction: how satisfied employees are with the tasks and conditions, whether they intend to continue working in the company and develop together with the manager.

The method is convenient because it does not require long preparation, long observations and complex processing of results. All that employees need to do is answer a couple of questions.

What is the probability that you will recommend our social media marketing service organization as an employer to your friends and family? Rate the probability from 0 to 10 points, where 0 means I definitely do not recommend, 10 means I definitely recommend.
What is important to improve in the organization?
For what reason do you not want to recommend our company?

Based on the results of the answer to the first question, employees can be divided into three groups.

Promoters (9-10 points) are employees who highly rated the processes in the organization and see prospects for cooperation.
Neutrals (7-8 points) - employees who are generally satisfied with their work and are not planning to change companies right now, but will not recommend them to their friends and family.
Critics (0-6 points) are specialists who have a negative attitude towards the company and are actively looking for a new position.
To determine the loyalty index, you need to calculate the share of ratings for each of the three groups and find the difference between promoters and critics. For example, your organization employs 100 people, and you received the following figures from the survey:

60% of critics,
10% neutral,
30% promoters.
eNPS = 30% (promoters) - 60% (detractors) = -30

How to decipher eNPS results
Negative eNPS index (as in our example) — critics prevail in your organization. Therefore, it is worth analyzing the reasons for the team's dissatisfaction from the questionnaire and working on increasing the level of employee engagement. The higher the index value, the greater the loyalty and the lower the turnover in the company.

A positive eNPS index means that the company has more promoters, and this is a good result. However, it is still worth studying the opinions of specialists and improving the weak points in the processes.
