On January 7, the Rainbow Warrior, the emblematic ship of the environmental organization Greenpeace, will arrive in Mexico as part of different environmental campaigns that will highlight problems such as the use of toxins in agribusiness or the pollution of watersheds, as announced by the director in Mexico. The Rainbow Warrior will have a tour of the Pacific in a first stage that will begin on January 7. The boat will arrive in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, where it will denounce the contamination of soils with agrochemicals.
Subsequently, she will sail to Puerto Vallarta, where she will arrive on January 11. There, the organization will present a study on the pollution of rivers and bodies of water by textile industries.
Six days later, on January 17, the ship will arrive in Acapulco Guerrero, where the organization will hold a bicycle ride, a walk and a “blackout” in the hotel zone. The second stage of the trip includes arrival in Cozumel, Quintana Roo on Monday, February 17, and to the port of Veracruz on the 22nd.

This Rainbow Warrior is also the third one the organization has had and it is the first time it has come to the country.
The first Rainbow Warrior was bombed in 1985 and sunk in 1987. In 1989, the organization acquired the Rainbow Warrior II, which visited Mexico in 1997 and 1998 in campaigns against oil overexploitation and against the expansion of the port of Cozumel.
